Why GWT?
Why Gourmet World Travel :
Almost surely you found out about cruising from ads, commercials or a friend. This is, after all, an important decision -- the kind that requires the insite, analysis and guidance of a travel agent who knows cruising well. We have cruised throughout the world and our experience will help us deter-mine the best cruise line, ship and destination for you.
Gourmet World Travel asks you a series of questions to discover your needs. We understand that many types of cruises are available, and, to be satisfied, it's critical that you travel on the ship, have the itinerary, and line that's right for you. The recommendation to take a cruise is great and we help insure that your experience is a good one.
Why Cruise?
Why Cruise?:
1. A cruise is a hassle free vacation. You only pack and unpack once.
2. A cruise takes you away from it all. There is no smog, pollution, stress, traffic, alarm clocks, beepers or ringing telephones or chattering fax machines.
3. You're pampered like nowwhere else. Break- fast in bed. Lounging on deck. Soaking in a hot tub. Afternoon tea. Champagne or caviar. And the most ever-present and gracious service your're ever likely to experience.
4. You can do it all - or nothing at all.
5. You can sample a broad geographic area. They usually cover a number of ports of call to give you an experience not easily duplicated with any other type of travel.
Did You Know
Did you know?:
1. Booking through discounters on line may cost you more than booking through GWT. If you need to make changes, for whatever reason, we help you. Discounters usually charge you EVERY time you make a change.
2. Many Discounters charge for mailing your documents to you. GWT does not.
3. Discounters add a service fee to the booking. GWT does not. These fee's can be more than $50.00
4. Booking and cancellation fee's may not be disclosed to you prior to your booking the cruise. GWT discloses all fee's to you prior to any booking.
5. You won't get the same person to talk to each time you need to discuss your cruise when using a discounter.
6. If a problem is encountered with a discounter, you must contact them at their convinience. At GWT we work with you at YOUR convinience including evenings and weekends.
7. Did you know that many front line agents at discounters have never cruised. Is that the person you want to advise you on your cruise?
8. Did you know that many of the cabins available through discounters may be in the less desirable areas of the ship. GWT will work with the cruise line to get you the best available cabin.
9. Did you know that when you see a price quoted in the newspaper or online that it may be the lowest rate they have, but they may not have any of the cabins left at that price.
10. Prices quoted in the newspaper or online may not show the port charges, taxes and fees that will be included when you get final pricing.

Perfect for
Perfect for?:
Planning a Honeymoon, Group Travel, Family Reunion or special event? Cruising is a stress-free way to get together with family and friend.
Imagine being able to visit several destinations without having to pack and unpack. Places like Alaska, the Caribbean, Mexico and Hawaii for 3-4-5-7-10 days or longer. The best news of all is many of the items you would have to pay for on other vacations are included in the price of your cruise!
Tips
Tips:
1. BOOK EARLY. It is a myth that if you wait to the last minute you will get better pricing. Cruise ships now give the best pricing to early bookings.
2. BUY CANCELLATION INSURANCE. It will protect you if you have to cancel your cruise.
3. The SMOOTHEST RIDE is in the center of the ship and on the lower decks.
4. Be CAREFUL where your cabin is located. Make sure you are not under promonade deck, in front of the elevators, or the butlers pantry or behind the Pursur's office
5. COMPARE pricing carefully. What may appear as less expensive may not be so because tips may not be included in your pricing and soft drinks may not be included with your meals.
6. LONGER cruises have more formal nights.
7. TAKE a change of clothes with you in your carry- on. Your luggage may not arrive for some time.
8. BOOK your excursions before you leave. Don't wait because many of the better ones fill up before you depart.
9. Be CAREFUL if you don't book the airfare through the cruise line. If you're late, they won't wait.
10. ASK us about booking into and existing group to save money.
